HERE!!!
Hey all,
Okay we are finally here! The plane ride to Amsterdam was...long, but very good. We had a short layover there then we boarded a 747, which was HUGE and extremely full. Josh and I slept 6.5 of the 8 hour flight, so it was great. Today is day 1, sunday. We had a great breakfast with our team, Rod, Betty, Nancy, Josh, Martha, Robert and myself. Then we were off to church! Rod and Betty went to church with Peter, while Josh Nancy and myself went with Martha. We took the Matatu. It was so much fun! The Matatu is a van with as many people as you can fit in it. Kind of like a taxi...But better. Church this morning was amazing. We got to dance and sing praises to our god in two differnt languages, it was quite the experience. After that we went to lunch with our team, martha, Kathy, Peter and his wife. We had a great time. On the way home we decided to all go in one car. That was an adventure! Josh sat on Nancy and mines lap with Betty squished up against the window. We had so much fun! Now everyone is napping and preparing themselvs for the week ahead of us. The Michigan team is coming in tonight, and tomorrow teacher training begins. There is a good chance that josh and myslef will now be leading the whole 5 day lesson on the wordless book in Tanzania so we will be attending teacher training and studying for that. Saturday is the 10 year celebration and Rod is speaking as well as Betty. Keep them in your prayers and Rod is also giving messages thiss week as well. Nancy is teaching a class this week and will be a team trainer in Tanzania. All is well and we are all so excited and happy to be here. Please keep us in your prayers as we are always thinking of you and missing you here! Love you all,
until next time,
The Africa Team,
Kendra, Josh, Rod, Betty, and Nancy
